Abstract

Electromagnetic fields (EMFs), generated by natural and man-made sources, have become an inseparable part of modern life. This article explores the physiological and health-related effects of EMFs on biological systems, with a focus on cellular mechanisms, nervous system responses, and potential long-term risks. Scientific evidence suggests that prolonged exposure to certain levels of EMFs may contribute to oxidative stress, sleep disturbances, and cellular dysfunction. At the same time, EMFs are also used therapeutically in medicine, particularly in diagnostics and physiotherapy. This dual nature raises important questions about regulation, safe exposure levels, and public awareness. The article provides a comprehensive overview of current research findings and emphasizes the need for further interdisciplinary studies to understand the complex interactions between electromagnetic exposure and human health.
