The article describes the role of "Technical Mechanics" science in the training of engineers in higher educational institutions, the goals and tasks of the science, the importance of knowledge and skills that should be formed in students as a result of studying this science. In order to teach the subject more deeply and fully, small recommendations are given that the subject should be included in the program.
